The design intent was to create an open, bright airy space for a Mediterranean themed restaurant. The design requirements included a ground level area that serves as a bar / lounge. The second level consists of the dining area a show kitchen and a back of house kitchen.
The interior space is modulated by a series of vertical partitions that are transparent enough to allow the flow of light and traffic of patrons. This allowed us to create smaller more intimate spaces.
We used natural, simple and organic materials, light toned wall finishes contrasting with rich walnut woods. The goal was to use materials that customers can relate with, and that connects the urban setting of the location with nature.
